Tangalooma Resort - Moreton Island
Only 25 miles from Brisbane, Moreton Island, mostly national park, is home to the Tangalooma Wild Dolphin Resort, an old whaling station now dedicated to the observation and research of Bottlenose dolphins and Humpback whales. Dolphins regularly visit the resort in the evenings, offering the opportunity to feed them by hand.
A host of other activities on Moreton Island include a 4WD tour to Queensland’s oldest lighthouse, bush walks and sand tobogganing - the Island boasts the largest sand dune in the world.
