Why not try out the Malaysian Festival on an Australian holiday?

July 30th, 2010

The Malaysian Festival could be a great way to experience a bit of Asian culture.

People looking to do something different while on Australian holidays might like to check out the event in Darling Harbour, Tumbalong Park in Sydney.

It begins on Sunday September 26th, running from 10:00 to 18:00 local time and featuring an array of cultural performances and exhibitions, as well as many Malaysian food stalls.

The annual event is commonly known as M Fest and aims to promote the unique cultures and traditions from the country.

Malaysian Student societies have got together to jointly organise the extravaganza, which is just a ten minute walk from Sydney’s CBD.

Other attractions that may impress those who are on a holiday Down Under could be Cuban ballet, which is heading to Brisbane late this year, Nine News reported.

The Ballet Nacional de Cuba is set to put on shows in the country for the first time in ten years.
