Why not do the City2Surf fun run when on a holiday to Australia?

July 26th, 2010

runningAthletes who want to keep in shape during their travels might like to take part in the City2Surf fun run in Sydney, which begins on Sunday August 8th.

Those on a holiday to Australia will need to enter the event by tomorrow (July 27th) if they are up for taking part.

It could be a good way of maintaining fitness, as well as checking out an array of sights in the city, as the course for the 14km race starts in Sydney’s CBD by Hyde Park and finishes at Bondi Beach.

In 2007, it was the first time in the history of the race – which is celebrating its 40th year – that women participating outweighed the amount of men running.

And those who are sticking around in Sydney until September 3rd might like to indulge in the Manly Arts Festival, which may be the ideal destination to purchase some souvenirs for loved ones back home.
