Jet-setters eager to enjoy their vacations may like to book a trip down under as research has revealed that the country is the happiest holiday destination of them all.
Conducted by comparison website Skyscanner, the study of 1,000 people found that Australia holidays were the best, taking into account factors such as length of flight, food, accommodation, duration, weather, financial details and travelling companions.
Cliff Arnall, a psychologist discussing the results on behalf of the company, noted that the majority enjoy discovering somewhere different to Britain, with a better climate.
"Long-haul holidays tend to be for longer periods of time and have greater impact because they are seen as more special than staying in the UK or catching flights to Spain," he remarked.
And it appears to be a banner month for Australia as it was also revealed as a top tourist destination by a Visa and the Pacific Asia Travel Association report.
