Day 1: Auckland
On arrival at Auckland Airport you will be transferred to your hotel. The afternoon is at leisure for you to explore Auckland. You could visit the Sky Tower for amazing views of the city, Viatduct Harbour and surrounding volcanic hills. Perhaps visit the Auckland Museum or go shopping in stylish Parnell. This evening enjoy a welcome drink and dinner with fellow travelling companions.

Day 2: Auckland
Enjoy a city highlights tour with views from Mount Eden and the Auckland War Memorial, See Bastian Point, Viaduct Harbour, home to the 2000 America's Cup Village, Auckland's Harbour Bridge and more. Later board a cruise around Auckland's Waitemate Harbour.

Day 3: Rotorua
Follow the Waikato River to the Waitomo Caves and tour through the beautiful Glow Worm Grotto by boat as well as walking through the limestone caves. Journey onto Rotorua to visit Te Puia, New Zealand's Maori culture and geothermal experience. A local Maori guide will escort you through the Whakarewarewa Thermal Reserve with its mud pools and geysers. In the evening enjoy a Maori Hangi and concert and gain an insight into traditional Maori culture.

Day 4: Christchurch
The morning sightseeing tour includes a visit to Rainbow Springs Nature Park, where you will experience native bush, ferns and trees that grow around the crystal clear mineral water springs. You may even spot a kiwi, New Zealand's national icon! You will also visit the Agrodome and witness the famous sheep show. In the afternoon fly to Christchurch.

Day 5: Tranz Alpine - Franz Josef
Start the day with a spectacular train journey on the TranzAlpine from Christchurch through the Southern Alps to Arthur's Pass with a stop at Hokitika's Jade factory offering you the chance to purchase some unqiue souvenirs. Next stop is the world's most accessible glacier, Franz Josef. You'll have the oppertunity to see it from the air on an optional scenic flight.

Day 6: Queenstown
Travel over the Haast Pass, past Thunder Creek Falls, Lake Wanaka and Dunstan with a stop in historic Arrowtown before reaching New Zealand's adventure capital of Queenstown.

Day 7: Milford Sound
Journey over the Devil's Stair Case and along the shores of Lake Wakatipu to Te Anau and its lake, the largest in the South Island. Travel through the rainforest of Wolrd Heritage Fiordland National Park, sighting glaciers and mountain ranges. Drive through the hand-hewn Homer Tunnel to the numerous photo oppertunities afforded by the Mirror Lakes, Pop's Lookout, Claudu Valley and the Chasm, Mitre Peak and Bowen Falls before reaching mystical Milford Sound. A cruise around the famous Sound with lunch is included.
Day 8: Christchurch
You'll be awestruck by the sensational alpine landscape of Mt Cook National Park. You may wish to take an optional scenic flight over Mt Cook. Continue on to see Lakes Pukaki and Tekapo, where we stop to view the Church of the Good Shepherd. Travel over the colourful patchwork that is the Canterbury Plains to Christchurch with evening dinner and wine to be enjoyed in a kiwi home of some descendants of the first settlers in Christchurch
