Perth, the capital of Western Australia, is a vibrant young city with a wonderful year-round sunny climate. Set on the banks of the Swan River, it's compact, easy to get around and rewarding to explore.
Kings Park is a favourite picnic spot with nature trails, a botanic garden and some fantastic views over the city. Across the river is Perth Zoo, set in beautiful, landscaped gardens, whilst at Hillarys Harbour there's the fabululous underwater tunnel of the Perth Aquarium. In the city you can visit the historic Perth Mint or climb the new Millennium Bell Tower.
